

Dr. Jeralyn Harris, Principal
Dr. Jeralyn Harris’ illustrious 24-year career has been dedicated to transforming and impacting students' lives through education. Her passion for education and school culture make her the heart and soul of CICS Longwood High School. Feeling a deep sense of calling to the field of education, Dr. Harris believes that education is a two-way street—teachers learn just as much as they teach! This collaborative approach is central to her leadership style, prioritizing results in math, literacy, and school culture as well as staff development.
Dr. Harris focuses on being present and maintaining consistent communication to ensure that all school stakeholders feel heard and valued. Dr. Harris collaborates with the team at CICS Longwood High School to design initiatives that promote personal and academic growth, some of which include: Longwood Partners, Growth Focused Portfolios, SEED DAY, Crown Me, and beginning this year, her career and technical education (CTE) pathways in aviation, personal care, and health sciences will launch! She plans to continue focusing on teacher development, increasing literacy and math proficiency, building a thriving school culture, and enhancing parent involvement.

Terrence Davis, Resident Principal
Mr. Davis' dedication to creating equitable opportunities for all students is the driving force of his career. A proud graduate of Morehouse College and holder of a Master's degree in Special Education from Chapman University, his commitment to students with diverse learning needs was solidified early in his career. He began his career as a Special Education and Humanities teacher in San Diego, before relocating to Chicago to serve as a Learning Specialist and Case Manager for the Noble Network. In these roles, Mr. Davis championed the academic growth of students, guiding them on their journey to college.
As Resident Principal, Mr. Davis focuses on building a thriving academic culture. He is inspired by the resilience of his students and believes in fostering an environment of rigorous learning that empowers them to take ownership of their future. Mr. Davis is excited to continue his commitment to student success at CICS Longwood High School and CICS Longwood Elementary.

Jeremy Roussel, Assistant Principal
Mr. Roussel champions both teacher and student growth by focusing on instructional excellence and academic culture. He spearheads ACT preparation and testing coordination, and works with instructional coaches to elevate teacher capacity through targeted professional development and data-driven instruction. Mr. Roussel's dedication extends to teacher evaluations, prioritizing growth, and fostering a classroom environment of rigorous learning and meaningful, joyous engagement. Mr. Roussel is inspired by his students' resilience and potential, believing that equipping them with critical thinking skills and ownership of their futures leads to them thriving. He also emphasizes the exceptional staff community at CICS Longwood High School, a team that operates like a supportive family, modeling for students the importance of empathy, unity, and heart-centered leadership.
