Welcome to CICS Longwood High School, a public charter school in Chicago’s Washington Heights! We blend rigorous academics with real-world experiences, preparing our students for the path they choose. Students are seen, heard, and supported as individuals. Our incredible, dedicated educators care deeply about each and every student. Our goal is to ensure that every student’s educational experience is right for them—through high expectations and unique opportunities—our personalized approach offers a comprehensive curriculum across all subjects, focusing on content knowledge, social emotional learning, and developing skills necessary to support students beyond the classroom and into college and careers.

Our students are prepared for the post-high school path of their choosing. Last year’s graduating class boasted a 100% college acceptance rate, 100% graduation rate, and secured over $40M in scholarships! Our local and national partnerships provide hands-on career and technical education (CTE) programs including phlebotomy, plumbing, construction, and welding, offer students valuable industry experience and, in some cases, certifications to begin their careers immediately. We are thrilled to introduce our new CTE pathways this school year in aviation, personal care, and health sciences! Our growing partnership with the NBA Equipment Managers Association donated brand-new gym and weight room equipment, provided monetary assistance, and exposure to new career opportunities in sports! Additional opportunities like podcasting classes and Student Government ensure that student voice and choice remain central to our school culture.
